Charge neutral conjugation methods

This is actually for a project that I am working on right now. I would like to label a lipoprotein with my favorite dye. For now we are using BODIPY dye with BODIPY diffusing into the hydrophobic portion of the lipoprotein complex without covalent conjugation. Is there a way for chemical conjugation of LDL to the dye that would keep the lipid-specific binding function of the protein intact and would not affect protein charge? Ideally I need something commercially available. Any advice would be appreciated!
