I am in charge of providing technical expertise and research direction along with supervision and leadership in developing novel 3D printing materials in order to support manufacturing of artificial lung using 3D printing technology. As principal investigator of new material and methodology development project for 3D printing of external artificial lung for Total Artificial Lung (TAL) program, my other responsibilities include:

• Providing hands-on reduction to practice for manufacturing of prototypes for artificial lung program
• Providing expertise regarding biomaterials and required testing of them to used as medical devices
• Providing expertise regarding surface modification
• Developing additional experimental plans to achieve project milestones
• Conducting and supervising lab work and prototype performance testing, interpret data and results
