Over three decades I have had six very different careers: as a scientist, product development manager, business development director, academic, business strategist & executive coach.
During my long career I have managed multi-million $ Global project launches and conducted business across Europe, Asia and the USA. I have predominately worked in the pharmaceutical sector, health care, research institutes and bioscience start-ups. As a business strategist I have also partnered with many 'not for profit' organisations and social enterprises.
I hold a number of academic positions including Affiliate Professor in Strategic Management (Grenoble Ecole de Management). External Strategy Expert for IMD's EMBA programme (International Institute of Management Development, Switzerland). Visiting Professor in Design Thinking (International School of Management, ISM, Paris) and Senior Examiner at the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK.
I am an Expert Advisor and Healthcare sector specialist on the United Arab Emirates (His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid) Innovation Fund's Advisory and Decision Committee. I am also a Consultant Director for Cavendish Management Resources; the UKs leading provider of venture capital funding, management of M&As, business sale, IPR licensing and consultancy support for SMEs
During my career I have formally (through internal coaching networks) and informally (through line management) practiced coaching and mentoring at a senior level in a wide range of organisations. Whilst it is generally recognised that effective Executive Coaching and Mentoring comes first and foremost from experience; my professional qualifications and professional recognition (member of the Association for Coaching) also provide assurance that the latest coaching methodologies and the highest professional standards are being practiced.
